CoLab Odense

CoLab Odense is a cooperation partnership between Odense University Hospital, Odense Municipality and the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark.

CoLab Odense invites private companies and other interested parties to join the collaboration. The aim is to create healthcare technologies supporting the treatment and care of patients and citizens in their private homes and private lives and find technologies that can help create a coherent care process between the hospital and municipality.CoLab Odense also focuses on solutions improving the possibility to prevent hospitalization.

Companies are offered a unique opportunity by CoLab Odense, who provides the settings in which technologies can be tested. This can be done in the operation, for example in hospital wards, in the nursing sector and in laboratories. Additionally, CoLab Odense offers its support in the process of development and testing in connection with the practical needs.

CoLab Odense is the first of its kind in Denmark and the first of six planned labs in the Region of Southern Denmark, all of which will be under the umbrella of ‘CoLab Denmark’. The goal of CoLab Denmark is to

  • Improve the dissemination of healthcare technologies across companies, hospitals, municipalities and medical practice
  • Disseminate common models for development, test and implementation of technological healthcare solutions through development and testing in everyday environments in municipalities and at hospitals

CoLab Denmark will orchestrate and conduct tests that primarily focus on everyday life and create value across the health sector in collaboration with local stakeholders. As a meeting point and an accelerator, CoLab Denmark wants to lead companies from idea to development through tests for implementation of technological healthcare solutions across sectors and local boundaries.
